Our story

Family-run.
Small on purpose.

Hotel North Resort opened to give visitors to Paramaribo a quieter alternative to the downtown hotels — close enough to the city to be there in ten minutes, far enough out to hear birds in the morning instead of traffic.

We're family-run and stay deliberately small: 25 rooms, a pool, a spa, and a restaurant that leans on Surinamese ingredients.

What we do well
  • We answer the phone.
  • We remember which guests want the early breakfast.
  • We keep the pool clean.
  • We point you to the food spots locals actually use.
What we don't do
  • We don't run a high-rise.
  • We don't oversell with photos that don't match the rooms.
  • We don't run a casino or a nightclub.
  • We have one good restaurant — not fifteen.
